Former NBA player and Golden State Warriors hero Jason Richardson will be in Bangkok for the Jr. NBA Thailand National Training Camp. Richardson explains to us how excited he is to be part of the experience and what he plans to see from the players.
Q1: You are in Bangkok for the Jr. NBA Thailand National Training Camp, starting tomorrow. How excited are you?
JC: Very excited to come be a part of Jr. NBA and be part of the experience. I love travelling and seeing new cultures and it would be my first trip to Thailand as well. Excited to see the kids and teach them lessons and also hopefully having a great time.
Q2: Where have you been in Asia?
JC: I've been to China many times such as Beijing, Hong Kong and Chengdu, so many different cities. It went to Taiwan earlier this year and had a great time there. I just love the Asian culture and to see how they have embraced basketball is such a thrill to be a part of.
Q3: What are you expecting to see during the National Training Camp?
JC: I don’t really have any expectations but I like to be surprised. Every time when I go to a Jr. NBA camp, I just like to see how knowledgeable they are about the game and how hard they play. How many of them know the players not just from the present but from the past as well. I think it's going to be an amazing experience and I'm excited to be a part of it.
